What is an Entry Summary Declaration (ENS)
From 31st January 2025, new Entry Summary Declarations (ENS), that include safety and security information about your goods, will be required for all shipments into the UK, it’s crucial to be prepared for this change to ensure your operations continue smoothly.
At Efret, we’re committed to providing comprehensive customs clearance solutions to keep your business on track. The ENS declaration requires the following:
- Goods being Imported
- Shipper and consignee details
- Countries the trucks will be travelling through from collection to delivery
All shipments, except for empties, are required to have ENS declaration.
It is the Hauliers responsibility to ensure the ENS is done, and the following must be implemented:
- The declaration must be submitted prior to the arrival of the goods in the UK
- For road transport, the submission must be made at least 2 hours before the truck arrives at the EU port
There are 20 Mandatory Fields and to do the ENS the company doing it must have a GB EORI, we understand this may be too much for our hauliers so to make this easier, Efret can prepare the document on your behalf.
